The Villas at the Disney Wilderness Lodge

The Villas at the Disney Wilderness Lodge resort is the only Disney Vacation Club property where we have yet to stay. We have however visited on several occasions and enjoyed a meal or two from several of the restaurants at the nearby Wilderness Lodge.

We love to walk around the resort to take in the sights like the geyser that erupts every hour on the hour. We also like that you can hear crickets chirping as you walk along the paths that meander around the property.

On our visits we have discovered that this is a very comfortable and peaceful resort that focuses on nature and the great outdoors. The decor and architecture of the resort honors early American craftsmanship and artistry. The Villas at the Disney Wilderness Lodge is a resort where you can relax with your family in cozy and comfortable accommodations that are accented with Native American flourishes and intricate details.

The Villas at the Disney Wilderness Lodge Rooms

What sets this resort apart from others is that the natural beauty of the great outdoors is carried over into the decor of the rooms as well as the lobby and other community areas. Each room has rustic design elements that invite guests to relax amidst the soothing warm colors and Mission-style furniture. The atmosphere is so comfortable that you might just feel like you have escaped to a cozy mountain retreat instead of busy vacation at Walt Disney World.

The accommodations at the Villas at the Disney Wilderness Lodge include the studio, one, and two bedroom units. This resort does not have any three bedroom units that are available at most other Vacation club properties. Please visit our Vacation Club Resorts page to see what is offered n each of these rooms.

The Villas at the Disney Wilderness Lodge Food and Drink

The Artist Point - restaurant in Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort draws inspiration from lodges found in the Pacific Northwest National Parks. The menu reflects the cuisine from this region, too: seafood, sirloin and game. Though menu options change seasonally, the kitchen's signature dish is a cedar plank-roasted salmon. For dessert, the chef's special creation is an Artist Point cobbler: seasonal berries and house-made black raspberry ice cream.

The rustically elegant restaurant offers a relaxed and warm atmosphere where the spirit and romance of the American frontier is captured in beautiful murals and paintings. Look around the room and you will see ornate iron lanterns that are suspended from tremendous timber columns and huge windows that frame beautiful views of the Resort's Bay Lake and Silver Creek Falls.

This Signature Dining restaurant is only open for dinner.

The Roaring Fork Snacks - is a quick-service restaurant near the Artist Point restaurant and the Silver Creek Springs pool. It is Open from 6:00 a.m. to 12 midnight and serves traditional breakfast offerings, pastries, soups, sandwiches, salads, burgers, pizza, daily Chef's creations, and snacks.

Territory Lounge - stop by for a drink and appetizers at this quiet haven of relaxation. It is the ideal place to unwind at the end of a fun-filled day.

Trout Pass Pool Bar - Head to the water's edge at this picturesque poolside bar and snack shop.

Whispering Canyon Café - The motto of this restaurant as stated on the menu is "We've got stories, games, and even a song or two, so get ready to join in. The goings-on can get a little loud, and that's the way we like it!"

So be prepared to expect the unexpected in this rowdy, Old West style restaurant where the specialty of the house includes all-you-care-to-enjoy Canyon Skillets. A breakfast skillet includes Scrambled Eggs, Oven-roasted Red Bliss Potatoes, Bacon, Sausage, Waffles, Buttermilk Biscuits, and Sausage Gravy.

Make sure you bring your appetite because these are cowboy size meals. At lunch and dinner the skillet may include Smoked Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork, Oven-roasted Chicken, Beef Brisket, Mashed Potatoes, Cowboy Beans, and Corn on the Cob, Mixed Greens Salad with Apple Vinaigrette, Coleslaw, and Fresh-baked Cornbread. Lighter and smaller menu items are available if you are not as hungry as a cowboy!
